Restorative Dentistry
CROWNS
A crown is a restoration that covers, or "caps," a tooth to restore its normal shape and size, strengthening and improving the appearance of a tooth. Crowns are necessary when a tooth is broken and fillings won't solve the problem. If a tooth is cracked, a crown holds the tooth together to seal cracks, SO the damage doesn't get worse. Crowns are also used to restore a tooth when there isn't enough of it to provide support for a large filling, attach a bridge, protect weak teeth from fracturing, restore fractured teeth or cover badly shaped or discolored teeth. With our portable operatory we prepare the teeth using the same high-quality handpieces, suction and air-water spray found in a traditional fixed office. Impressions are taken and safely transported to a lab specializing in fabricating this type of restoration.

COMPOSITE FILLINGS
A composite (white) filling is a tooth-colored plastic and glass mixture used to restore decayed teeth. Composites are also used for cosmetic improvements of the smile by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping disfigured teeth. Utilizing our portable operatory, high-quality composite restorative material, and a portable "curing light,' we are able to provide the same quality restoration as a fixed office.
BRIDGES
Bridges help maintain the shape of your face, as well as alleviating the stress in your bite by replacing missing teeth. Sometimes called a fixed partial denture, a bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been. They are permanently cemented and cannot be misplaced like dentures. With our portable operatory we prepare the teeth using the same high-quality handpieces, suction and air-water spray as that found in a traditional fixed office. Impressions are taken and safely transported to a lab specializing in fabricating this type of restoration.
Root canal
Root canal treatments are designed to remove all infection and bacteria from a tooth, and then seal the area with composite material or by placing a dental crown to avoid a recurrence of root pain or infection. Our dentists | first drill a small hole into the tooth's pulp chamber, and then remove the nerve and all damaged tissue. They then sanitize and fill the tooth chamber with inert material to stabilize and reinforce the tooth. Later the tooth is sealed followed by the placement of a customized crown. When finished, you will have a fully functioning tooth that matches the surrounding teeth.
EXTRACTIONS
Simple extractions are performed on-site by our dentists. These are done only after adequate x- rays are taken and the dentist has consulted with the patient, his or her physician and family members for consent. Post-op instructions are provided to the facility, RP and patient as indicated and follow-up exams or services are provided.
